I spent much of my life as a “do-er”. I didn’t have time to explain. I didn’t have time to teach, and I certainly didn’t have time to suffer letting someone else make their own mistakes. It may sound obvious, but in the moment there are things that simply have to be done immediately. At least that’s what I thought, or didn’t think, as it turns out.
No matter how urgent the situation, an appropriate amount of analysis and reflection will inevitably benefit the outcome. I am not suggesting that having tea while contemplating the blazing building, but I would suggest thinking about the location of the exit before beginning to run.
